"As a senior lawyer in a high profile firm, becoming pregnant was somewhat of a novelty to my colleagues. The reassurance that my sessions with my coach gave me has been absolutely invaluable. I was ready to resign and give up on the many years of studying and training but, using her strategies, I am now better equipped to deal with the pressures of combining parenthood with my career as a lawyer. She both soothed and smoothed my return to work and I now look forward with greater confidence to the path ahead."

Tom Beardshaw

Tom Beardshaw is a passionate, experienced and knowledgeable facilitator who talks frequently around the changing face of fatherhood, working fathers in the UK, the pressures on them and their abilities as parents.

Tom is publisher of a new UK website for dads. Previously he was a Director of the Fatherhood Institute which works to support and promote fathers' relationships with their children.

After studying for a degree in Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics in the late eighties, he's worked in South Africa and London on environment and development issues and has spent the last ten years specialising in fatherhood, taking the issues to the UN and helping to change government attitudes towards dads - for example, by persuading them to introduce two weeks of paternity leave.

Tom has worked extensively with Employees Matter since 2006 delivering workshops and online content for clients such as ABN AMRO, Accenture, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, Herbert Smith and UBS.
