Key Coaches
Geraldine Gallacher
Geraldine is a management development professional who combines solid management development credentials with a broader commercial background. Having spent thirteen years in line management positions at the Ford Motor Company and The Burton Group (now The Arcadia Group and Debenhams), Geraldine also has an MBA and spent five years in the Ford marketing department. Her management development experience includes consulting for large organisations such as the Automobile Association, Granada Leisure and IBM.
Having spent 6 years at the Burton Group as Head of Management Development, Geraldine realised that her real skill lay in working on a one-to-one basis with senior executives, in 1994 she set up her own practice specialising in executive coaching.
At a point when the UK coaching market was undeveloped, Geraldine introduced executive coaching to many organisations with whom she still works. In addition to one-to-one coaching, Geraldine has introduced internal mentoring schemes running alongside workshops to develop coaching skills of line managers.
Today, Geraldine coaches a wide range of clients to include both the commercial and the not-for-profit sector. Clients range from HM Treasury, BBC and Housing Associations to J P Morgan, Lincoln Insurance, Legal and General, Avis, Renault, Axa Investment Managers and the Royal Bank of Scotland. As well as working with most of the High street retailers, she has worked on large partnership assignments with Ernst and Young, Deloittes and Towers Perrin.
In addition to extensive coaching experience, Geraldine's business acumen is further sharpened by being a non-executive director for Morgan Sindall plc, a UK £2 billion turnover construction company where she chairs their remuneration and corporate social responsibility committees. The Executive Coaching Consultancy is a founding organisational member of the Association for Coaching.
